Ewell & Rodes in Gettysburg

The town was one of the few areas on the map to delay infantry moves.

Here the Rebel army moves up under cover of the houses, as the local population cower in their cellars.

For some of the locals this was their first experience of war, but for many they would see far worse in future when their houses returned to their natural habitat of WW2 Russia.

(Well, how many ACW 10mm houses can anyone actually buy - Russian ones are made of wood as well...)
